Payment & Finance

How can I adjust rates?
In the EarlyBird web portal you can adjust rates. Changes are immediately visible on the payment terminal.
Does the customer receive a receipt?
After the transaction, the customer receives a QR code that leads to the receipt.
What does the customer see on his statement?
The customer will see the payment terminal name you entered on their statement, along with the amount debited and the date of the transaction.
Is the payment guaranteed?
The payment is 100% guaranteed. With every transaction a reservation is automatically placed on your customer's bank or credit card.
When will I receive the income?
Every day the daily total is deposited into your account. You can see for yourself which transactions are part of the daily cash deposit.
How do I link my bank account to the payment terminal?
After ordering, we will contact you to link the payment terminal to your bank account. You will need to fill in some Payment Service Provider forms for the bank. The payment terminal can be linked to any bank account in Europe.
Why a payment terminal?
With an EarlyBird payment terminal, you are guaranteed to receive immediate payment. Other systems often work with charging cards or apps where payments are processed via intermediaries. With our terminal, the customer pays directly with his bank card or credit card, without registration or account. This makes the system suitable for every user, wherever they come from.
Can the payment terminal also accept cash?
No, the payment terminal only works with bank cards, credit cards and digital wallets (such as Apple Pay and Google Pay).
Does the system also support contactless payments?
Yes, customers can pay contactless with a debit card, smartphone or smartwatch.
Is there a maximum transaction value per payment?
The default limits are those of the customer's bank or credit card. There is no limitation from our system.
Can I display my own logo or name on the payment terminal?
On request we can personalize terminals with a logo or company name. Please contact us for this.
What happens if a payment fails?
If the payment is unsuccessful, the customer will receive a notification on the screen and no power will be drawn.
Does the customer pay in advance or afterwards?
The customer pays in advance. A reservation is made first, after which the power supply starts.
Is it possible to let the customer download an invoice?
The customer receives a digital receipt via QR code. If desired, this receipt can also be used as an invoice.

Product & Features

Does the system also work without an internet connection?
Through the built-in SIM card there is a private internet connection to process payments and switch power. So you do not have to provide the internet connection yourself.
How much data usage does the SIM card in the pedestal have?
On average, a pedestal uses less than 100 MB per month. This is included in the service.
Is there a backup power supply in case of power outage?
The columns and terminals do not have a built-in battery. In the event of a power failure, they cannot be used.
Can I also connect solar panels to the installation?
If you generate electricity via solar panels, this can be linked via your installation. Discuss this with your installer.
Can the customer choose a charging time or power amount?
Yes, the customer chooses at checkout whether to pay per time unit or per amount of electricity.
What happens if the customer stops earlier than planned?
Then the power consumption stops and the customer only pays for actual consumption.
Is there any help or explanation available for foreign customers?
Yes, the payment terminal supports multiple languages. You can set the desired languages yourself in the web portal.
What activation methods are there?
Activation can be done with bank card or credit card and Apple Pay or Google Wallet linked to the mobile phone. In addition, as the owner you can always switch the power on or off yourself via the web portal.
What does my customer have to do to purchase electricity?
Your customer only needs a bank debit card or credit card. With this card your customer can easily turn on and off electricity and pay.
How many power points can I pay for with 1 payment terminal?
You decide how many and which power points are connected to each payment terminal. Just make sure your guests don’t have to walk too far from the payment terminal to the power point. If your site is large, it’s convenient to place an extra terminal.
What languages are on the payment terminal?
You can select languages that appear on the payment terminal in the web portal yourself. The customer can choose from these languages before paying. You can select the 20 most commonly used languages. Such as English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Hungarian, Czech, Romanian.
Can I also pay for services other than electricity?
In addition to electricity, you can pay for (tap)water, but also showers and toilets. Contact us if you want to know which facilities you can pay for.
For which locations are the columns and payment terminal suitable?
You can use the power columns and payment terminal at any type of location. At camper sites, harbours, parking lots.
What is the difference between charging (type 2) and CE plugs?
Charging a vehicle is done via a type 2 connection, with which the charging current is matched to the battery of the vehicle. CE plugs, also known as camping plugs, can be used for regular power needs such as refrigerator, air conditioning, cooking. We offer columns for charging, regular power and also a combination column where both charging and regular power can be used.

Management & Web Portal

What prices can I set?
You can set and adjust prices yourself via the web portal. Every day. You can set a starting price, a price per kWh/Liter and a price per time unit (for example: per day, per 10 minutes, per hour)
Can I give a discount to returning customers?
Payments are anonymous with the card. You cannot give a discount. However, you can turn on the electricity yourself via the web portal. Then you can pay outside the payment terminal.
Are there subscription fees for using the system?
Yes, there is a fixed amount per month per payment terminal for maintenance, connection and service. Contact us for current rates.
Can I connect the system to my own management software? (API?)
Yes, an API is available upon request that allows you to link usage data to your own platform.
Can I generate automatic reports?
Yes, you can set up weekly or monthly reports to receive consumption, turnover and faults.
Is there an app for mobile control?
Yes, you can also access the web portal via mobile or tablet. A separate app is not necessary.
Can I perform firmware updates myself?
Firmware updates are performed automatically remotely via the SIM card.

I have multiple locations. How does it work?
The system is designed so that you can manage and view the locations yourself. You will receive payment overviews per location and per payment terminal. You can also set the rates per location and per payment terminal.

You can select languages that appear on the payment terminal in the web portal yourself. The customer can choose from these languages before paying. You can select the 20 most commonly used languages. Such as English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Hungarian, Czech, Romanian.
What can I do with the web portal?
With the web portal you can manage your power columns and the payment terminal. Management includes: setting rates, setting languages and currencies, analysis of consumption and turnover, downloading transactions, insight per location/payment terminal, managing financial flows.

Logistics & Installation

How do I connect the pedestals?
The payment column can be connected to 220 Volt. The payment pedestal has its own internet SIM card, which automatically puts it online and allows payment. Each power pedestal also has its own SIM card, which puts it online. In the manual you can see per power pedestal what power it needs.

Is the system waterproof?
All power columns and the payment terminal are waterproof. See also the extensive manual.
Can I convert my own existing installation?
To convert your own installation we advise you to contact us. In any case we need drawings and photos of the current installation.
Can I also order other types of pedestal than those in the webshop?
If you would like to order other columns, please send us a message. In addition to the pedestals listed in the webshop, we can also supply columns with 32A or 63A connections for larger consumers.
How should I install the pedestals?
The pedestals come with a base on which they can be mounted. Please also see the installation manual on the product page.
I am looking for an installer
We can help you with the installation and installers. Send us a message where you want the columns installed. You can always hire your own installer. The installation is very easy for an installer.
Can I also order the payment terminal for my own charging stations?
We can pay for all types of online charging stations with the payment terminal. Send a message if you have any questions or interest.
How are the pedestals and payment terminal shipped?
The power pedestals and payment terminal are sent by international parcel post.
Can I place multiple payment terminals at 1 location?
If your terrain is very large, it is useful to place multiple payment terminals. You can determine how many and which power points you want to pay per payment terminal.
What is the delivery time of the pedestals and terminal?
The average delivery time is 4 weeks, depending on your location and availability.
What happens if the pedestal is damaged or vandalized?
Contact us directly. In consultation we can provide a repair or replacement part.
Is there a warranty on the products?
Yes, all components come with a standard 2-year manufacturer's warranty.
Is maintenance required?
The systems are low maintenance. Annual inspection especially of the electrical parts is recommended.
